No Partially and Bribe, please!

Deuteronomy 10:17-19

17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. 19 And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt.

God remind us that what He done to Israelite should be done to others. His command should be carried by Israelite to show God is the greatest. What required to Israelte also a requirements for us. We need to carried His command by showing no partially, accept no bribes, defend the cause of fatherless and he widow, and loves strangers or people who we don’t know.

Pray:

God lead us today to show that we care each other. Show us to share something that we have for other people outside of our “circle of friendship”. Remind us to be just and not looking for our own interest. Open our eyes to thee needy ones.

Circumcised Our Heart

Deuteronomy 10:16 16 Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. Our understanding about circumcise may different. For some people circumcised are the act of physical obedience in what God told to them. Circumcise in their perspective is a reminder of God’s promise to Abraham and we are the descendants of Abraham will inherit God’s promise today. But, truly God knows that human failed to see circumcised as the covenant by God that sealed in human physical bodies. This remind us of God’s part not human part. Verse 16 said that God look for human to circumcise in their heart and there is no contradiction between what had been said in the Deuteronomy (Old Testament) and Romans 2:28-29 (New Testament). Paul said: No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God." (Romans 2:28 - 29 NIV) So, God allow us know to understand that He seek our heart. He wants our heart be guard. Don’t closed your heart and be stubborn of His command to us. Let your heart be open to Him, confess your sins and let the Holy Spirit works to identify your sins today. Don’t be stiff necked of what He is going to reveal in your life. Pray: Holy Spirit please speak in our heart today. Forgive our sins of being stiff necked.

Everything Belongs to Him - My Devotional Reading

Deuteronomy 10:14 14 To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it. 15 Yet the LORD set his affection on your forefathers and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations, as it is today. This verses told us that everythng belongs to Him. When you know that you have everything what you are going to do with it? Use it, keep it or throw it when you feel bored with it. When everything in our control we can do what we want to do but what God do will not the same like ours. He set his love only for us among all things that He have and can do. He choose me and you to become his focus of attention. Things to ponder: We can do anything with our time, money, laptop, all we got. But one thing that we need to always set our heart and choose God first in what ever we do with it.
